WE AIM TO PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY HAND-MADE
ART IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY.
ABOUT OUR QUALITY
Quality is important to Janeen Horne as is having a minimal environmental footprint while creating beautiful pieces for you to enjoy in your home and life. Here are a few steps taken to do our part for our community and planet.
Janeens Acrylic Paintings are painted on high quality stretched canvas. They are professionally crafted in her studio using plantation pine beaded timber and triple primed cotton or linen/canvas. The stretchers have been reinforced for strength and to reduce warping.
Her Gouache paintings are painted on 300gsm watercolour paper.
All Giclee fine art prints are prepared locally by a professional printer and colour managed on state-of-the-art EIZO monitors. These monitors are fully calibrated and colour accurate. Cotton rag prints are printed on 320gsm 550 micron Ilford Medina matte 100% cotton archival rag paper. This warm-toned paper has a luxurious velvety textured surface. Smaller prints are printed on Ilford GALERIE 310gsm Smooth Pearl paper. This paper produces prints with an excellent photographic result and colour gamut, high sharpness, quality contrast with a classic pearl finish. All print papers are archival quality.
We take extra care to ensure your print is as close to the original painting as possible. This can differ from the settings of your screen. We take no responsibility and do not guarantee that the colours will match your digital format.
All textiles are made from 100% linen cotton or cotton canvas which has been eco printed in Berlin, Germany. In this process, minimal water is used with low-impact dyes to achieve vibrant colours that stand the test of time.
Each item is hand-made in Geraldton, Western Australia by two professional artisans using high-quality threads and zippers.
Because of the custom dyeing process and being hand-made each bespoke item is slightly different than another, beautiful and one-of-a-kind.
CARE FOR YOUR TEXTILE CUSHION OR POUCH
We suggest that when you hand wash your textile item do so gently in cold water. Lay flat to dry in the shade. These items are for indoor use only.
