Janeen was captivated by the unique beauty of the

Houtman Abrolhos Islands from the first time she visited there in 1984.

While living there during 2 Cray fishing seasons she started to draw and paint shack interiors, fishermens camps and jetties. Her first solo Art exhibition in 1989

featured Vibrant Gouache paintings of the Abrolhos Islands and was so well received by the public she has continued to capture their magic ever since.
